Following her graduation from Koc University in 2007 she started to work in the Corporate/M&A team of a leading law firm. During 2009 – 2010 Irmak took study leave to complete her Masters after winning a European Union Scholarship, which she undertook at Queen Mary University of London. The area of for her Masters degree was International Commercial and Corporate Law. After completing her Masters, Irmak rejoined Pekin&Pekin Law Firm and advised clients on corporate & commercial law, employment law, intellectual property law, real estate law matters for four more years as a Senior Associate in the firm. Since 2007, she has become the author of several international publications and presented in conferences as a speaker.
After she resigned from Pekin&Pekin Law Firm, she established DAB Law Firm in 2015 with two other colleagues and continued to assist clients from different sectors. Since 2020, she has established her own law firm, IDE Law firm and continues to advise her clients in Turkish law. She also gained exposure to a variety of sectors and high-profile foreign clients and advised on Turkish laws from different perspectives. More specifically, Irmak is involved in the advisory practice specialising in the fields of commercial and corporate law, employment & labour law, intellectual property law, real estate law and very well experienced in drafting and negotiation of various agreements and formulating legal opinions. In summary, Irmak’s key capabilities are in consultancy and litigation services and legal assistance relating to all matters of Turkish law crucial to the effective operation of business interests in Turkey. Her area of expertise is supporting day-to-day operations of companies in the light of Turkish laws and practices. She is also approved as the sworn translator for English translation services.
